i knew once the nuance of new ones is a collaboration between dance artist fyllenia grigoriou and sound artist anton lambert, where they let dance and music intertwine in an improvisational score. fyllenia grigoriou explores and experiments with the politics of improvisation by approaching language and memory as a choreographic tool. Within this practices she shares an attempt to expand the notion of intimacy, to draw attention towards language and to integrate it in the process of writing a body’s actions and memories. She composes written choreographies by collecting elementary body actions, narratives and manifestations to document the process of a thinking body in movement, dancing itself in trance. anton lambert’s work revolves around notions of deep listening, sonic agency and the psychology of recorded sound in relation to its source and their affinity with memory. He records, collects and archives all sorts of sounds which he moulds and modifies; ranging from pure field recordings to heavily granulated and deconstructed textures. Combined with improvisation, he works with chance and noise based algorithms to recompose his source material.

The project, started in 2022 during a residency in White Garage Gallery in Catania and various versions have been performed in Catania, Antwerp, Brussels, Bruges and Athens.
