European Music Collective

The European Music Collective (EMC) is a union of musicians from all around Europe (and beyond), which constantly seeks out brand new and exciting international collaborations. The collective exclusively focuses on improvised and contemporary music and notably features the new generation of artists working through primarily improvised mediums. Today, European Music Collective consists of 22 fixed members, being based in 10 different European Countries and representing 13 nationalities. The main collective goal is to create a platform and community for improvised and contemporary music that subsumes national identities into a collective spirit that transcends borders. European Music Collective has already organized several diverse performances and tours across Europe. In 2024 the first artistic Residency took place in Sidrabini, Latvia, where the collective recorded their debut album, which has been released by Klankhaven Records.

The collective is focusing on a diversity of projects, including their own large ensemble, which has been showcasing their original material and world premiers at diverse locations and festivals around Europe.
